E-bike demo centre - Bikes Available


We are an Official Santa Cruz demo centre and we have a wider fleet of E-bike demo bikes. We aim to offer one of the countries most comprehensive line ups of the best the industry has to offer! Being in such a beautiful but sometimes punishing part of the country this is an excellent test ground for bikes. If they can handle it here they'll handle just about anywhere!


We can still get our hand on other bikes from our brands so give us a shout if we don't have a bike that you're after listed below. 

Demos are £120 per rider which covers up to 3 bikes to be ridden back to back if you want to compare different options.

We have worked with Specialized for over 20 years, is our biggest brand and a founding father of the mountain bike industry. Specialized make high quality bikes from little shredders for the kids all the way through to high powered e-bikes and classics like the Stumpjumper.

We love Santa Cruz Bikes here at Biketreks with a few of our staff owning Cruz's. Another brand we have worked with for many years. Providing a top notch bike for every occasion.

  • We can get other bikes in from Santa Cruz so if you're after a bike not listed, get in touch and we'll do our best to arrange a ride for you!

Sometimes we can get other sizes and models off our suppliers but bear in mind that there are over 40 dealers after the same set of bikes so it's not always possible but we will try.

All demo bookings must be paid for at the time of booking, and if you subsequently buy a bike from any of our shops after the demo (within 3 months) we will refund you the £120 demo fee.

To inquire about a demo bike or to book one you'll need to give us a ring on 015394 31245 and select the Grizedale option. 

Be warned, we will have a good chat with you to ensure you're genuinely looking at buying a bike and not just going on a Lake District jolly - we have hire bikes for that purpose!  

  • You can ride up to 3 bikes back to back should you choose, anymore and it gets too tight on timings we find.
  • For the hire of full suspension bikes, full suspension electric and demo bikes, card details will be stored securely on file and photo ID will need to be left with us during hire (and will be kept in a secure safe). Money will only be taken if we feel the bikes are returned to us with serious damage. It is your responsibility to collect your ID at the end of your hire - if ID is left with us, we will post it back to you at a charge of £10.
  • Riders must be 18 years or older to demo bikes on their own, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Riders must be 14 or older to ride an E-bike.
  • Bikes must be ridden in the forest, we can suggest routes to suit you but we tend to send people on a Bridleway loop using the 3 Witches.
