Contact Us
Biketreks Grizedale is located in Grizedale Forest just beyond the visitor centre and opposite Go Ape. Our address is Biketreks Grizedale, Grizedale Forest, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 0QJ.
Getting to Grizedale
For the easiest journey to Grizedale, we recommend using Hawkshead as your destination if you are travelling from the Ambleside direction, or Satterthwaite if you are approaching from Newby Bridge or Ulverston.
As you get closer, simply follow the brown tourist signs featuring the Grizedale tree symbol. These are the best way to navigate through the forest and will guide you to us.
Please be aware that Sat Navs can sometimes take you on the wrong route when using our postcode, so following the tourist signs is the easiest and most reliable way to find us.

Finding Us
As you approach Grizedale Forest, you’ll find two large car parks, both operating on a pay-on-exit system. This means there’s no need to worry about rushing back to feed a parking meter or keep an eye on the time.
From the main car park, we’re just a 2–5 minute walk away. Head towards the Visitor Centre and café, then look for the wooden bridge between Go Ape and the café.
Cross the bridge and you’ll find our shop directly in front of you, with plenty of bikes hanging outside — you can’t miss us!
Need a Hand?
If you’re having trouble finding us, give us a call on 015394 31245 and select option 1.
Between 9am and 11am, we’re usually busy getting customers out on their bikes, so we may not always be able to answer the phone straight away.
For non-urgent enquiries, you can email us at hire@biketreksgrizedale.co.uk and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
