Here in Grizedale forest we are offering packages for guided electric bike hire, aimed towards corporate and company events.
These include being shown around the forest on electric bikes by a knowledgeable and friendly guide from our shop and include a meal at the award winning Café Ambio in the centre of the Forest.
The day will be tailored to offer great fun for you and your team, experienced or not at mountain biking.
Our guides will take you around the forest in a manner that suits your ability whether that's an easier day riding and seeking out the lesser known spots, views and sculptures in the forest, or if you want a bit of a challenge our guides can take you down some of the more challenging brilliant off road trails the forest has to offer.
Our guides hold Level 2 or 3 MBL Qualifications, 2 day outdoor first aid certificates and are DBS checked.
Being based in Grizedale they're very knowledgeable about the forest from spending evenings after work riding and exploring it's many paths. With their knowledge of the forest they will tailor a route to suit each individual group and their needs and abilities.
Our guides are insured to ride with up to 6 people on electric bikes so for every time a multiple of 6 riders is exceeded an extra guide is required. Having more guides can be beneficial though as smaller groups can mean a more interactive experience between our guides and riders. This can give you the ability to split into multiple smaller separate groups that can gain different experiences.
All our electric hire bikes are "full fat" electrics, they have big batteries and plenty of punch from the motors should you need it. They're all easy to use and will be set up for you by the guides and our hire staff before you go out. This will include a short safety brief and an introduction to the bikes and how to use them where any questions can be answered pre ride. Generally we tend to have either Whyte's or Specialized bikes in our fleet and we have both hardtail and full suspension options.
Café Ambio Lunch
Cafe Ambio is the on site cafe at Grizedale (and Whinlatter) and offers freshly cooked food from 10am to 4pm daily. Their Sunday lunches are scrumptious and there are plenty of cakes and ice cream on offer if that is more your thing.
The pricing includes any main meal and a drink off the menu. They can cater for most dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, coeliac) if you let us know in advance what is needed.
Check their Instagram out here.
Please contact our team by email, email@example.com or by phone on 015394 31245 and select our Grizedale store and then hire. We will have a chat with you about the options that will suit your needs best and what you would like to gain from your day in the forest, and we will send you a tailored estimate.
As a rough idea on pricing:
- A group of 4 on electric hardtails for 3 hours (9:30am to 12:30pm) with lunch in Cafe Ambio included is charged at £350
- A group of 6 on electric full suspension bikes for a full day (5 hours riding) with lunch in Cafe Ambio included is £950
